Fruit of my labor and a goodie giveaway

IMG_4916

I’ve spent the past week holed up in my sewing room trying to complete the projects I spent the past two months procrastinating.

Since last Friday I have made 2 swimsuits, 2 dresses, 3 skirts, 2 sun visors and 2 carseat-travel lap-desk thingos. I also freezer paper stenciled 5 t-shirts, repaired these awesome shorts that fantastically still fit, and sewed patches on a scout shirt.

I plan on photographing all of these things individually and posting about them over the next few weeks, so stay tuned for some sewing posts.

Also, I made a giant double batch of cream cheese brownies. Mission “Use up the Cream Cheese before leaving town” is officially complete. or, almost complete. I still have to get the brownies out of the oven and subsequently the house. Say, maybe y’all could help me out with that!

If you’re close by and want in on the brownie action leave a comment and after a few hours I’ll choose a winner, or maybe two.

Now, I’ve got to fold the monster pile of laundry on my sofa so I’ll be able to pack things. Also, I’d like to clean my kitchen and I haven’t entirely given up on the idea of finishing one more dress. In other words, I’ve got to get to work.

Dang, I just gave up on this and gave all of the brownies away!
I only have one left and it's a little bit squished, but I'm bringing it over. If you're actually dying from want of sugar one slightly squished brownie should be welcome.

I don’t mean to brag but not only was I the recipient of some of these AMAZING brownies, the patches on the scout shirt, yep, that was mine too. Thank you so much, you are the best!

You still in town? How about a recipie? Any Pictures? I have been given 10 packages of Cream Cheese from a neighbor who over bought and was leaving town. This would be great to make today.

BTW... I love reading about your projects keep them coming.

I have really been wishing that I would have been close enough to offer a smile and an arm around the shoulder these last several weeks.
